Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley doesn't expect anything different from President Joe Biden as he prepares to nominate a judge to replace Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.
"This is really a moment of truth for Joe Biden," says Missouri's junior Senator, "He's got the opportunity to nominate somebody who is a mainstream, pro-constitution, rule-of-law judge. Or he can keep doing what he has been doing and keep sending up these radical left-wing activists."
"So we'll see which direction he wants to go here, but I suspect it will be more of the same," says Hawley.
Breyer, 83, is the oldest member of the current court. Word leaked-out this week of his pending retirement at the end of this term. Biden has pledged to nominate a black woman to the Supreme Court.
