Sarah Parshall Perry, a legal fellow for the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at The Heritage Foundation, recently joined the Randy Tobler Show to discuss the US Supreme Court and a Mississippi abortion restriction case.
"This is a case concerning the constitutionality of Mississippi's "Gestational Age Act" that was passed in 2018," says Perry. The case puts 1973's Roe vs Wade decision in the crosshairs says Perry in a recent Heritage commentary.
Mississippi's law would ban abortions after 15-weeks post-conception.
"Now we're moving the needle back to 15-weeks, which is the most restrictive limitation on abortion we've seen since the 'Roe' case," says Perry.
The Court will hear the case in it's next term, which begins this fall.
