Inflation drives people to purchase Christmas trees in August

Inflation in the UK is having an unexpected effect. People have started buying their Christmas trees early – really early.

“Sales of artificial Christmas trees went up…400% in the month of August,” Sue said.

The idea is to spread out the cost of Christmas by buying a tree in August and presents during Black Friday.
