“Wear your masks, take your pills, now a whole generation is mentally ill,” sang Kid Rock in “We the People,” one of three singles he released at midnight Tuesday to promote his upcoming tour.

“We the People,” which the musician described as “one of those hard rock rap tunes,” is the most political of the three new songs.

“Man, f**k Fauci,” Rock sings early in the track, a reference to Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden.

Rock has been a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump since at least 2016. While Fauci was a member of the White Hosue Coronavirus Task force during Trump’s presidency, Trump supporters began criticizing Fauci early on in the COVID-19 pandemic. Trump also lashed out at Fauci last year.

“COVID's near, it's coming to town, we gotta act quick, shut our borders down. Joe Biden does, the media embraces, Big Don does it and they call him racist,” Rock sang in the new song. It also includes a chorus of “Let’s Go Brandon,” a phrase made popular after a NASCAR event where a T.V. announcer erroneously said a crowd of people shouting “Go F**k Biden,” was shouting “Let’s Go Brandon,” in support of driver Brandon Brown.

In a Facebook video announcing his tour, Rock said the song was inspired by “all the craziness going on in the world the last several years,” including the media’s response to his support of Trump.

According to Billboard, Rock has been involved in a number of political controversies in the past that include: selling pro-Trump shirts, a faux run for Senate that was actually a publicity stunt, refusing to close his bar during the COVID-19 pandemic and comments about the Black Lives Matter movement and gay rights as well as comments about “The View” co-host Joy Behar, Taylor Swift and Oprah Winfrey.

Apart from Fauci and Biden, “We the People” criticizes Facebook, Twitter, mainstream media, social media trolls, CNN and TMZ.

While he also appears to mock the Black Lives Matter movement with the lyric “no sh**t, motherf**ker,” Rock said that he also wants the song to represent unity.

“We’ve got to keep fighting for the right to be free, and every human being doesn’t have to agree,” he sang, later on adding, “climb aboard this love boat.”

Rock said that his upcoming “Bad Reputation” tour might be his last big tour. So far, concert dates are set to begin April 6 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. and end Sept. 17 at the Pine Knob Music Center in Clarkston, Mich.
