Police in Connecticut arrested and charged a man who allegedly sideswiped a police cruiser last Thursday. Police shared that the driver also allegedly had an open beer can in his center console.

The man, Jeffery Walker, received several charges for the accident, which occurred while the officers operating the vehicle were conducting an unrelated traffic stop, according to the South Windsor Police Department.

After hitting the police car, Walker’s vehicle stopped a short distance up the road, where officers made contact and performed a field sobriety test, which he allegedly failed. They then placed him under arrest, police shared in their release.
