Authorities in Florida say a man wearing scuba gear pulled off a late-night robbery at the Paddlefish restaurant in Disney Springs.
Investigators say the suspect swam up to the restaurant after midnight, entered a manager’s office where cash was being counted, and forced employees to hand over money. The man then tied up two workers and escaped back into the water.
Officials estimate between $10,000 and $20,000 was taken. No injuries were reported, and police say no weapon was displayed during the robbery.
Detectives believe the suspect had stashed scuba equipment nearby in advance and used it to approach and leave the scene undetected. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
