Chicago Police say three men stole a dog from a woman at gunpoint in the Chatham neighborhood Wednesday night.

Detectives are looking for a gray SUV, or possibly a Jeep, as the getaway car in the theft of a dog, a Cane Corso, from a 39-year-old woman.

Police say the woman was in the 8000 block of South Ellis about 7:20 p.m. when three men with guns jumped out of the vehicle and grabbed the gray Cane Corso, which is a type of mastiff.

WGN-TV says the dog is named Denim. The 2-month-old puppy was a birthday present.
