Miserable air travel might be Florida's fault

Micah Maidenberg with the Wall Street Journal shares with Mark Reardon what he thinks is the answer to what is causing airline travel to be so miserable, and Florida is the culprit.

“Florida is really, really busy for air travel. A lot of planes flying in, a lot of planes flying out, right? Florida is beyond pre-pandemic levels of flights, when the rest of the country is not Florida busy,” said Maidenberg.

Later he commented on why Florida causes the most disturbances, “ It’s a lot of things. It’s weather, there has been a lot of difficult weather in Florida this year. It’s an increasing number of space launches from Kennedy Space Center. It’s military exercises, space launches and military exercises take air space out of circulation for commercial flights. So that reduces capacity, makes things tighter. It’s more private planes, it’s the volume issue, more people flying.”
