Missouri's treasurer wants to limit IRS prying-eyes

Missouri's current treasurer and candidate for state auditor wants to stop a proposed new IRS rule that would allow more access into private financial accounts.

Scott Fitzpatrick tells Marc Cox that he's joined with 22 state leaders opposed to requiring financial institutions to report all personal and business transactions over $600.

"This isn't about big-business, this isn't even about small-business. This is every American with a bank account," says Fitzpatrick about the plan. "It doesn't matter if you're making $20-thousand a year or $20-million a year, you're going to be subject to this invasion of privacy."
