Netflix is considering abandoning their binge format and moving to weekly releases instead. When Sue Thomas shared the information during Friday’s edition of Sue’s News on The Mark Reardon Show, she was greeted with groans from everyone in the studio.

“Netflix is facing so much more competition with all the other streaming services,” Sue said. “They think the weekly format will help keep viewers engaged over longer periods of time.”
Netflix says a weekly release format allows fans to discuss, theorize, predict and of course, pick apart the show along the way. It also allows for word of mouth to grow so that a show can gain in popularity.
The Mark Reardon crew says this is Netflix’s way of gaslighting customer’s into believing the possible new format is a good thing.
