Pastor Jeff Alexander of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Greenwood Indiana spoke about how he, his congregation, and his community is dealing with the tragedy that struck his hometown when a gunman opened fire at the Greenwood Park Mall. Pastor Alexander stated that this tragedy has affected everyone in the area, even mentioning that a church member was at the location of the shooting an hour before it happened. But rather than dwell on what could have been, Pastor Alexander is ministering to his community in the midst of the heartache.
“Every person involved in that shooting was created by God, and Jesus shed his blood for them,” said Alexander.
The Pastor says that we need to focus on love and grace. He pointed out that our culture is extremely fractured at this moment and the only thing that can bring us together is treating each other with love and grace.
