Stu Scheller Sr., the father of US Marine Lt. Col. Stu Scheller, joined Marc Cox again to provide an update on his son's status in the Marine Corps.
"Our son is still under a gag-order from the US Marine Corps, and the government," says Scheller, Sr. explaining to Cox why he's calling about the case.
"While last Thursday and Friday's court marshal was considered a victory," says Scheller Sr., "Stuart is the only one that accepted accountability for his actions, the leaders have not accepted accountability for their failures, but he has. So he plead guilty to all charges in the US MJ that were laid against him. Going forward, however, he is still a Marine. They have not accepted his resignation, yet."
Stu Scheller Sr. is asking for members of the public to contact the Secretary of the US Navy, Carlos Del Toro, and ask him to expedite the process for Lt. Col. Scheller's resignation.
Lt. Col. Scheller was sentenced last Friday to receive a punitive letter of reprimand and forfeit $5,000 of one month's pay after pleading guilty to all charges stemming from his social media posts against military and civilian leaders.
