Taylor Swift is providing an economic boost to the NFL.

2023 has been the year of the pop star flexing her economic muscle. Her “Eras” concert tour is projected to gross more than $2 billion in North America. The film based on that tour is predicted to make more than $100 million during its opening weekend next month.

And now she's helping to drive the fortunes of the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs after she attended the Bears-Chiefs game last weekend. Swift reportedly is dating Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce.

Sales of Kelce jerseys jumped 400 percent. Business writer Jennifer Waters, appearing on the Noon Business Hour Tuesday, speculates that could be a combination of Swift and Kelce fans.

Meantime, network Fox says Swift's presence at the game boosted ratings in the demographics of women between the ages of 12 to 17 and 18 to 49.
