The Biden Administration bans electronic cigarettes because of teenage usage

Ryan Wiggins, in for Annie Frey on The Annie Frey Show, chats with Fox News Contributor, Deroy Murdock about his opinion on last week’s banning of Juul electronic cigarettes.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued marketing denial orders to JUUL Labs Inc. for all their products currently marketed in the United States. Murdock criticizes the banning of a single company rather than taking the entire category of vaping products off the market.

“It’d be like saying…cars are dangerous, so we’re going to ban Fords. But go ahead and buy a GM or a Lincoln or BMW,” Murdock said. “It sounds like a bill of attainder, which is basically a law directed against one particular person, which is against the Constitution.”

Murdock said Juul is being singled out because of the belief that the fruit flavor attracts teenagers, encouraging more underage people to start vaping.

“If we’re going to start banning things based on fruit flavors just because kids like them and kids use it, then we really should ban beer…And frankly, some teenagers engage in sex, so maybe we should ban sex for adults so teenagers don’t,” Murdock said.

“This is an absurd and ridiculous way to organize a society - taking things away from adults because some teenagers like it.”
