WORD’s Tara Servatius never thought the trial of Hillary Clinton’s campaign lawyer Michael Sussman could be fair as long as it remained in Washington, D.C.
So the “Tara Show” host is not surprised that Sussman was acquitted of lying to the FBI as to the motive behind sharing suspicions of a union between then-Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russia ahead of the 2016 Presidential election.
In fact, Servatius said Sussman’s defense sort of had a point, and she believes it resonated with the jury.
“I get why they wouldn’t have [convicted Sussman],” Servatius said. “You know why? Because the whole defense by Sussman’s lawyer came down to this, and Sussman’s lawyer was not wrong: The FBI committed fraud. The FBI lied. The FBI lied to Congress under oath. The FBI lied to the American people. And the FBI even lied to its own agents. Why are you going to convict my client for lying to the F-B-Lie when all the F-B-Lie does is lie?”
Servatius has more to say about what she believes is a deeply dishonest federal law enforcement organization in the link above.
