An office worker for the gas station giant Buc-ee’s went viral on TikTok this week after finding out that janitors for the convenience store make the same amount that she does.

The TikTok was posted by @roxiab and quickly went viral online when she shared that “the Buc-ee’s gas station pays their restroom janitorial staff the same hourly wage” that she earns as a case manager for the company.

“I haven’t been the same since,” the TikTok says.

While the TikToker, Roxie, may have been surprised, anyone who has stopped at a Buc-ee’s and seen how long those lines get or how many toilets some stores have won’t be.

But, even though Roxie appeared to be shocked, the case manager wasn’t putting down the profession at all, saying in the caption, “All love to janitors i honestly might join you at this point #godblessamerica.”

After the first video went viral, Roxie posted a follow-up with a photo of the Buc-ee’s pay breakdown. The poster shows that the janitors she was talking about make $18 an hour in their position.

Depending on the position of hourly workers, they can make anywhere from $16 to $31 an hour. Salary workers can make upwards of six figures depending on the position.

“We’re looking at some pretty good starting rates,” Roxie said.
