Tensions rise at the US-Mexico border as the Biden administration prepares to send 1,500 additional troops for support ahead of an expected migrant surge once Title 42 is lifted.
Tom Homan served under the Trump Administration as Acting Director of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Homan says the solution is simple. "Dust off the Trump plan that we proved worked."
Homan says the Biden administration could, and should, re-implement the Remain in Mexico policy immediately.
The policy requires migrants seeking asylum to remain in Mexico until their US immigration court date.
