The latest polls show it's a one-man race for the Republican primary, with former President Donald Trump in a league of his own.

According to the Wall Street Journal's polling, Donald Trump holds a 46-point advantage over his closest contender, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis: 59% to 13%.

CNN's polling also has Trump ahead of DeSantis by 34 points: 52% to 18%.

And Fox's latest national poll has Trump at 53% compared to DeSantis at 16%.

The numbers show Trump is gaining ground as DeSantis slips. The governor's national polling percentages have gone from the mid- to high-20s earlier this year to the teens now.

Trump continues to gain in the polls despite his ongoing legal troubles, which now include four indictments. He's also managed to use his legal troubles to his own benefit – reports indicate his campaign raised more than $7 million after his Georgia mugshot was released last month.

In fact, polling has found that more people see the former president as electable after the release of his mugshot. The poll comes from Morning Consult and found that 62% of potential Republican primary voters think Trump has the best chance of any Republican to beat the incumbent, President Joe Biden -- up nine percentage points from before Trump's booking photo was released.
