Autopsies will be performed to determine the causes of death of two newborns found Thursday in the Streeterville neighborhood.
Police said a cleaning woman called Thursday night to report finding two dead infant girls inside a trash bag in a childcare center in the 400 block of East Ontario. Police communications indicated the woman had initially been called to clean up some blood.
The babies were taken to Lurie’s Children Hospital, that’s where they were pronounced dead.
Police said that so far there have been no arrests made, as detectives conduct a death investigation.
