38-year-old Laura Young thought of a brilliant idea once while listening to a podcast about a man who made a living putting flat pack furniture together for other people.
Young thought, hey my husband is handy like that, he could do the same thing, too!
So Young started offering her husband James for rent. For $45 an hour, he’ll perform odd jobs around your home. Jobs have included everything from putting up a TV or curtains to even rebuilding a wall.
The business has been more successful than the couple could've imagined, and James routinely puts in 11-hour days, six days a week. Rent My Handy Husband, in fact, is booked until mid-November.
Laura told the Mirror, “I never expected it to take off as much as it has.”
The couple has even had requests for over 150 miles away, and they don't charge extra depending on the job. Everything is a flat a rate of $45, or a day rate of $300.
