Former Mo Senator: Focus on policies not costs of Biden's Build Back Better plan

Former Missouri State Senator John Lamping suggested to Marc Cox this week, that perhaps the focus on just the cost of Joe Biden's Build Back Better spending plan, needs to widen to actually look at what the policies include.

"We refer to it as a reconciliation bill, and we focus on the cost of it, but I think its far more important to focus on the policies themselves," says Lamping. "The President uses the terms, Build Back Better, and what is in this bill are policies that are aligned with global groups that want to focus on climate change, they want to have entitlement programs in place to take care of people who are displaced by climate change initiatives and that is principally what's in this bill."

Lamping also reacted to video of Sen Krysten Sinema being followed into a public restroom by protesters.

Lamping recalled his days in Jefferson City, "in the Missouri Senate, there are private bathrooms that have two doors, in and out. Nobody can follow you in, people who would follow you in would be protesters or lobbyists, mostly lobbyists. When you went in, you actually could exit [through] the other door. So, no I haven't had it happen to me, but I guess somewhere along the way the Missouri Senate decided they needed to have that protection."
