Bailey says he will not waver

State Senator Darren Baily stopped by The Annie Frey Show to discuss his campaign to become Governor of Illinois and to dispel some of the claims made about him in attack ads. The state senator gained recognition when he challenged Governor Pritzker's mask mandates and won. Bailey is now challenging Pritzker for Governor of Illinois. The Republican primary for Governor is heating up and attack ads are becoming more and more common. Bailey took some time to address some of the allegations made about him in these ads.

"I never voted for Joe Biden," said Bailey.

Senator Bailey also addressed the claims he wasn't a true republican, that he supported tax increases, and even a tongue-in-cheek accusation that he dressed as a sheep. However, Bailey did not spend the whole interview defending himself. He also laid out plans to lower taxes, end the gas tax, and end taxpayer-funded abortions in Illinois. Bailey also recognized that a strong Illinois would require both downstate and Chicago to work together. You can hear more of Senator Bailey's plan for Illinois by listening to the audio above or the podcast. Don't forget to download the Audacy App so you never miss another episode of The Annie Frey Show.
