Dr. Carson underscores the importance of an informed electorate

From the southern border to parental rights, Dr. Ben Carson shared his thoughts on the trajectory of the U.S. Dr. Carson says that there is a multitude of illogical ideas that have made their way into mainstream American politics.

"We have a mechanism to deal with these illogical things, it's called the vote," said Carson.

The former H.U.D. Secretary pointed out that simply voting is not enough. He believes that voters have to be informed about for whom they are voting. "Too many people go into the voting booth simply looking for a name they recognize," said Carson.

Dr. Carson said that the U.S. needs people who think logically about the issues Americans face. He identified Jesse Reising as one of those candidates.
