Speaker Pelosi and Senator McConnell teamed up and decided that a COVID relief package must be voted on with an omnibus spending bill.
While businesses (we see you restaurants) and individuals suffer in America, the D.C. elite decided to only provide ‘help’ if we throw out the baby with the bathwater.
Here are a few examples of what was passed to get even the bare minimum relief to the American public:
- Pakistan: $15 million for “democracy programs” and $10 million for “gender programs” (page 1486)
- Sri Lanka: Up to $15 million “for the refurbishing of a high endurance cutter,” which is a type of patrol boat (page 1489)
- $453 million “for assistance for Ukraine” (page 1500)
