Brian Agers, owner of Agers Heating and Air Conditioning, has been spearheading the effort in Jefferson City to enact common sense legislation that simplifies the licensing process for mechanical contractors.
Currently, a technician needs licensing in individual counties or municipalities. Companies have to pay fees for each of these licenses and ultimately the cost falls on the consumer.
This legislation would create a statewide standard as skills don’t stop at county lines.
Agers says there are a ton of mistruths being told about the bill. He joins Marc to explain.
