“These days if you're doing a true cost of living increase, now you’re looking at a five to seven to 10 percent increase just to make the 2021 dollar be the same in 2022 is that fair to say?” Asked Elam.
“That’s fair I think because, I mean we just got numbers last week right from the consumer price index 6.8 percent higher than last November which is I’m sure you guys have seen the headlines the biggest jump year over year in CPI numbers and in inflation and in pricing in 40 years, in 39 years," said Rosenthal.
