How the Left, and mainly the Left, could bring America together

As a rather staunch conservative, it pains me to say it, but I think the American Left basically controls the world. They do it through political means, sure, but for the most part they do it through messaging. And in my opinion, it's not difficult to win the message war when you own most major media.

To push a sexual agenda that's add odds with traditional American Judeo-Christian teaching, all you need is to make TV shows and movies that highlight the benefits with none of the consequences.  Despite the conditioning we've become accustomed to, California (CALIFORNIA!!!) voted to ban gay marriage as recently as 2008.  What changed opinions nationwide in the last 10 years?  Impressive, relentless messaging.  Regardless of whether you agree with the agenda or not, it's easy to see how great writing and a monolithic group-think in writer's rooms has pushed this opinion change very, very quickly.

In newsrooms, I think the same is true. Anyone who doesn't toe the line of progressivism is moved out of America's biggest newsrooms, in my opinion. It's become so far left, that I think even some traditional liberals who boosted Barack Obama are now questioned.

So what does all this mean?

It means the Left could attempt to reconcile with the Right, and bring some level of harmony to the country. I believe the Right IS the resistance, no doubt, but it doesn't control enough of the message to change the direction of the ship.

But why is this the Left's responsibility?

The way I see it, the Right tried to get along with the Left for a long, long time, by playing nice and playing on the terms given. Then it seems to me Donald Trump came along and harnessed the Right's exasperation with those terms, saying, "We're changing the rules."

It's why there's an America First party now, within the Republican side, and a Progressive party now, within the Democrat side. I think Donald Trump gets the blame for the toxic climate, but he's a reaction, not the source.

If the Left really wants harmony in America, it should simply stop yelling at the Right, and use its powerful messaging mediums to advance common causes. It's really that simple.
