US Marine says Biden is 'very detached'

U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Jessie Jane Duff joined Ryan Wrecker, filling in for Marc Cox, on 97.1 FM Talk’s The Marc Cox Morning Show on Monday to discuss President Joe Biden’s recent claim to the Associated Press that the American people are “really, really down.”

“What’s interesting is I don’t know that [Biden] even is aware of the mood of the country because he’s very detached,” Duff said.

President Biden’s lack of a social media presence has negatively impacted his understanding of the “mood” and “tempo” of the American people, according to Duff.

She says the reason he knows people are depressed is because his staff are the people actually seeing and understanding the pushback the Biden Administration is receiving. This pushback is causing those staff members to now “sugarcoat” the realities of the American people, Duff said.

She acknowledges the mixed feelings about Trump’s social posts, but says that unlike Biden, there was a “beauty” about Trump’s openness: “You always knew what he was thinking. He was so transparent.”

Wrecker agreed with Duff, explaining that Biden is “oblivious” to the amount of suffering going on.
