"Joe Manchin is and has been a firm 'no' on the social spending portion of President [Joe] Biden's legislative agenda," says Gray TV White House Correspondent Jon Decker. "Such that there will not be a vote on this bill anytime this year in 2021, and I just don't forsee him changing his mind because he's against this bill for so many reasons."
Decker joined the Marc Cox Morning Show and explained why Manchin is against a child tax credit included in the plan. "Extending the expanded child tax credit a full ten years, would cost one-point-six trillion dollars over a ten-year budget window."
