Sen. Hawley at CPAC: Biden's plan to send more US troops to Europe is a mistake

Missouri Senator Josh Hawley joined Marc Cox at CPAC and quickly commented on the unfolding situation in Ukraine as Russia's invasion of the country began.

"Listen, this is an invasion, we shouldn't call it anything other than that. What [Vladimir] Putin is doing is wrong, it is a violation of this nation's sovereign territory, Ukraine's sovereign territory," said Hawley.

Hawley disagrees with the administration's decision to beef up NATO allies with additional American forces in the face of the invasion, "I'm not in support of sending more American troops to Europe, I wouldn't do that, Marc. We have tens of thousands there already. I think that redeploying NATO troops and US troops that are already there, that's one thing."

He calls sending 7-thousand troops to Europe, "a mistake."
