Missouri AG Schmitt says White House paying contractors not to finish US-Mexico border wall

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt says the American people are tired of being lied to. Schmitt was recently at the US-Mexico border in Texas and saw the challenges faced by the Border Patrol.

According to Schmitt, there are portions of the border wall that are not complete and the Biden administration is paying contractors to not finish it.

"There are literally segments of the wall that President Trump was moving forward on and then there are just completely open areas," Schmitt says. "In fact, materials on the ground, rusting away, Joe Biden has decided to pay the contractors not to put it up. So we filed a lawsuit to actually get him to spend that $4 million to finish the wall."

In October, Schmitt and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit again the Biden administration for "refusing to spend money appropriated to continue to build the wall." They hope the lawsuit will force the administration to continue to build the border wall.

"It's just a disaster," says Schmitt. "The American people are tired of living their lives following the law while there is lawlessness at the border."

According to Schmitt, illegal border crossers are being sent around the country in secret in the dead of night.

"I've said it before, 'Every state is a border state,'" Schmitt says. "The amount of fentanyl coming across the boarder, into our communities and killing our young people, we've never seen anything like this before."

Schmitt says he is doing everything in his power as Attorney General of Missouri to remedy the situation. To hear the rest of what Schmitt has to say on this topic and more, listen to the podcast or the audio above.
