
Fox News reports that two employees at Springfield Public Schools (SPS) have filed a lawsuit against the district claiming that recently implemented training is an “unconstitutional condition of employment".
The lawsuit centers around the experiences of Brooke Henderson, a process coordinator, and Jennifer Lumely, a records secretary. The plaintiffs maintain that mandatory "equity" training is forcing employees to endorse beliefs on race as a condition of employment.
"If they said what they really thought, they're going to be declared as white supremacists. They have no choice but to utter the viewpoint that they found objectionable,” says Boucheck.
"The staff was put in a no win situation."
