Parkway School District Parent Jennifer Holtmann describes the parents’ battle against the District over mask mandates in school. Parents are frustrated by the lack of science behind mask efficiency.
“They haven’t come to us and said, ‘This is the science we’re looking at, this is the information that we’re basing this decision on,’” says Holtmann.
Holtmann also discusses the challenges masks present to students, especially athletes and students who participate in physically demanding activities.
“Despite the fact that they have to stand 6 feet away from each other, [The color guard] had to wear masks the whole time. Performance after performance.”
