Celtics player applauded for standing up to oppressive Chinese regime

Boston Celtics' center Enes Kanter is making headlines for dubbing Chinese President Xi Jinping a “brutal dictator” and voicing support for Tibet’s independence in a newly released video.

The comments triggered a backlash from Beijing whose streaming platform Tencent has already pulled coverage of Celtics games.

Jack Posobiec is a China analyst and senior editor at Human Events. He applauds Kanter’s boldness.

“You have yet again another NBA player standing up for what’s right… standing up and delivering a message that actually matters,” says Posobiec. Listen to his discussion with Annie above.
