President Biden’s insistence of appointing a new Supreme Court Judge that matches the description he promised continues to yield not just criticism, but outright opposition.

“Politicians have been doing this now for a long time and it’s a huge mistake,” says Hans von Spakovsky, Senior Legal Fellow at the Heritage Foundation. “It gives people the impression that those folks have been chosen not because of their character and their qualifications, but because of what race or gender they are.”
Spakovsky claims that Biden’s push for his progressive view of the Supreme Court is something new; the last time a Black woman was part of the discussion for the Supreme Court, President Biden was part of the force that stalled her nomination with the Court of Appeals for two years.
Because in this particular instance, the judge was a Republican.
“The one thing we can pretty much guarantee, whoever he picks, they’re going to be frankly a radical liberal and that is not good for the court either," Spakovsky says.
Hans von Spakovsky joins Marc Cox to discuss what to expect with the Supreme Court with Biden’s current progressive push.
