Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has signed a controversial criminal reform bill into law. The new law eliminates cash bail, will eventually require all police to wear body cameras and sets stricter rules for use of force by police.
The IL Legislative Black Caucus designed the measure. Opponents argue it will hinder police and discourage people from joining law enforcement.
We’re joined by Ed Wojcicki, Executive Director of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, who expresses concerns from the law enforcement community.
