On Friday, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that he was appointing a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden. Garland tapped David Weiss as the Special Counsel. Weiss, the U.S. Attorney from Delaware was in charge of the original Hunter Biden investigation that culminated with a plea deal that fell apart the day of the court hearing. Will Scharf, a former Federal Prosecutor in the Eastern District of Missouri joined the show to share his thoughts.
"When you talk about Joe Biden's brand being the product, what you're really talking about is the monetization of the office of the Vice President," said Scharf.
Though some are celebrating the appointment of a special counsel, Scharf is not among them. Scharf shared how the appointment of Weiss to this position could actually be used to shield Hunter Biden and insulate the President from further scandal. Listen to the audio above to hear Scharf lay all of this out.
