Hans von Spakovsky joins Jeff Katz, in for Marc Cox, and discusses the latest from the United States Supreme Court.
"Two of the biggest cases, they've got, they've now had oral arguments on," Spakovsky tells Katz. "One of them involves abortion, Dobbs vs Jackson Women's Health Organization. That's the law out of Mississippi, which Texas has also passed, other states too, that basically ban abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected. They had arguments on that last week, that's probably one of their biggest cases."
"The other one, that could directly effect a lot of folks is, they heard oral arguments in a case out of New York over concealed-carry gun permits," says Spakovsky.
