Senator Josh Hawley is criticizing the Biden Administration and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over a ‘sharp rise’ in trafficking and abuse of migrant children under the current leadership.
“The Biden has allowed 345 thousand kids to be smuggled across the border and they’ve completely lost track of almost 100 thousand of them. I mean completely lost track. And now we know though where they are because the New York Times and others have tracked them down.”
Hawley continues, “They are being used for child labor, they are being sold into sex trafficking. The Biden administration is facilitating the biggest child trafficking operation in American history. People need to go to jail for this.”
The Senator spoke with The Marc Cox Morning Show the morning after his bill the “Justice for Jana Elementary Act” passed in the United States Senate. The legislation mandates the clean-up of Jana Elementary School and radioactive waste testing to be performed at the surrounding buildings in the Hazelwood School District.
“The administration has turned its back on these kids. There’s no reason for us now to wait around and hope that Joe Biden will do something.
He doesn’t care. These kids aren’t big donors. He’s not going to lift a finger so it’s up to us to act and the Senate took a big step forward yesterday.”
