There has been much speculation on how the FBI raid of the home of Donald Trump would play with voters. The Trafalgar Group has just released the findings of their poll which answers this question. Founder and Chief Pollster, Robert C. Cahaly shared what they found. Cahaly says that overall Americans seem to be evenly split on the topic. But that was not the case with Independent voters. The pollster says that independents are more likely to be upset about the raid with over 60% of them seeing it as an unjustified raid.
“Unless some big bombshell comes out, it appears this is serving the republicans well in moving independents to their side,” said Cahaly.
Cahaly also explained the methodology that The Trafalgar Group uses and what set them apart from other polling organizations. The organization prides itself on its accuracy and unbiased results. He pointed out that other groups tend to design their polls to have a predetermined outcome. “You have to ask yourself, do you want to reflect or affect the results,“ Cahaly quipped.
