OPINION: Trump trial date 'brazen attempt' to interfere in 2024 election

The trial date for former President Donald Trump has been set for March 4, 2024. The day before Super Tuesday. The case alleges interference in the 2020 presidential election.

Trump's defense team proposed delaying the trial until April 2026 but the request was denied.

Tanya Chutkan, U.S. District Judge for the District of Columbia, instead selected the eve of a pivotal date on the 2024 election calendar.

"An obvious, and I think brazen attempt, to directly interfere in an important election," Gregg Jarrett, Fox News legal analyst, and commentator, tells The Marc Cox Morning Show.
