Cancel culture is at an all-time high. Instead of focusing on things like the opioid crisis and taxation, the mainstream media focuses on the latest celebrity forced to fall on their sword. John Gruden has been forced to resign and Dave Chappelle is on blast over content in his latest Netflix special. Although these are two very different scenarios, both took attention away from issues that impact the American people.
“People do dumb stuff and say the wrong things but we need to start having empathy for people who made mistakes,” says Tyrus (above).
