Unemployment benefits ending for millions of Americans

Labor Day 2021 marked the end of two federal unemployment programs – one that provided jobless aid to self-employed workers and the other that provided aid for those who have been unemployed for more than six months.

Economist Stephen Moore explains there are currently ten million job openings and eight million unemployed workers. Approximately half of all small businesses don’t have enough workers. Moore is hopeful that people will return to the workforce with the ending of these federal programs.
