The anniversary of the January 6th riot has stirred up a lot of emotions. These emotions have caused people to question the ability of the United States to regain that sense of unity that we once had as a country. Tyrus believes that unity is not out of reach. He says that it has to start with the individual and how we treat one another. The Fox News correspondent says that we cannot look to political leaders to foster unity because they have too much to gain from division. The events of January 6th were difficult for many to watch but Tyrus pointed out a bright spot.
"As bad as January 6th was, the FBI did a phenomenal job and the people who committed the crimes are in jail."
Tyrus believes that fixing the country's problems is more important than political bias. He thinks that Democrats need to take responsibility for their actions. He argues that every time Republicans extend an olive branch, the Democrats attempt to spin it into something nefarious. Ultimately these two political ideologies are going to have to learn how to coexist. To hear Tyrus' full thoughts on this topic, you can find the podcast here or listen to the audio above.
