Glenn Youngkin won his race for Governor in the state of Virginia, ousting incumbent Governor Terry McAuliffe.
Dr. Charmaine Yoest of the Heritage Foundation attended Youngkin’s victory celebration. Yoest describes a night of triumph for Republicans that extends far beyond the gubernatorial race in Virginia.
“There were real themes being sounded in this race that apply to issues that are occurring across the country,” says Yoest.
