Founder of Wirepoints Mark Glennon said the cost of the Clean Energy Jobs Act would be enormous to consumers.
It was passed out of the committee this week and will soon go to the Illinois House floor. The Act is amazingly difficult and technical.
"The goal is basically to sabotage anything that is fossil fuel-related," he said.
He said no one is at the table to discuss this issue who is advocating for the consumers.
Wirepoints writes this is a radical state version of the Green New Deal. The primary target will be the coal industry, which will hit southern Illinois extremely hard.
Is this using 'clean energy' to pass an agenda that will cost taxpayers more money?
Glennon said absolutely and the problem is, no one is paying attention to this bill.
