Director of school choice at the Reason Foundation Corey DeAngelis said families are changing their view on how we fund education because of the pandemic.
He said parents are starting to look at institutions, particularly ones that are closed, and asking the question: why am I putting my money here and not here?
Places with stronger teacher unions were not likely to open to in-person learning, according to data he found along with his partner at MIT.
DeAngelis discussed the research he conducted as well as other studies showing the more blue the region is the less likely it is to reopen.
