Missouri State Senator Bob Onder joined Marc Cox with his reaction to the statewide gas-tax increase signed into law this week by Governor Mike Parson.
"I agree, we do need money for roads and bridges in the state of Missouri," says Onder. But he doesn't think a gas-tax increase was necessary, "we do not have a revenue problem and a need for new taxes, we have a spending problem."
He was surprised by the passage of the tax increase.
"With Republicans like these running the state of Missouri, who needs Democrats?" asked Onder.
Onder and Cox also discussed the upcoming congressional re-districting which will happen this fall in the Missouri legislature.
