Governor Parson: 'The government is never meant to live off of, that is why getting back to work is important'

Governor Mike Parson took a different approach to handling the pandemic here in Missouri.
John Hancock gave him praise for how he chose to navigate the state through COVID-19 and the lockdowns.
Parson said he allowed the state and the people of the state to hold themselves accountable for their own actions. His technique of leadership was individual freedom and making your own choices.
"We are one of the lowest unemployment rate states in the United States are right now," he said when asked to list some economic accomplishments he believes the state should be proud of. He said our state is in good shape right now because of Missouri ending lockdowns, not pressuring small businesses to shut down, and ending those pandemic unemployment benefits to get people back to work.
