Missouri State Senator Bob Onder joined Randy Tobler to recap the end of the legislative session in Jefferson City.

"Yeah, I would say dysfunctional was probably a pretty good word," said the St Charles County Republican. "The last week of session featured, I hate to say it but, Republican leadership in the Senate working really hard to leverage other members' priority legislation in order to get their gas tax. You know, the $500-million gas tax, the biggest tax increase in Missouri history at a time when the pump price is already soaring."

Tobler pointed out that the Senate adjourned early, but Dr. Onder says that there is always a "housekeeping session" to work on lingering issues.

Onder also discussed other issues the legislature addressed including infrastructure, education, and prescription-drug monitoring programs.
